My First Shirt Order

I recently placed and received my first shirt order from Modern Tailor. Unfortunately, I have not taken photographs so this little review will have to be all text - sorry.

Fabric - 90038, Blue Fine Plain Twill, non-iron
Cutaway Collar, stiff
No Pocket
No Placket
Single Button, cut corner cuff
Standard buttons
Round Bottom
Slim fit
*** Shoulder pleats - special request on the slim fit***

I was astounded by the speed of production and delivery - the additional $5 was well worth it - Order to receipt was 7/8 days!
I actually made a last second change to have shoulder pleats added and my request was accommodated - excellent service!

The fabric is nice - a very tightly woven twill (unfortunately it was not included as an example in my swatch purchase and I had to choose "blind")
The shirt fit incredibly well "out of the box". Measurements, although within the stated tolerances on the web-site, were slightly shorter in some areas than my supplied measurements (I chose to copy a shirt), the yoke was actually 1" short!, which gave the shirt a slightly snug feel - the cuffs turned out about .25" large! I plan on making some "fine-tuning" adjustments on future shirts (although I'm not sure if i should increase my measurements slightly or assume the next shirt will be closer to or larger than my measurements?)
The details such as stitching and buttons were well done. (and I only ordered standard)
*** The non-iron designation leaves a little to be desired?!...I laundered the shirt (according to the label - hanger dry) and there does not seem to be anything non-iron about it! It wrinkles as much any plain cotton shirt I have ever owned!? ***

Suggestions:

- Provide more details about the various fabric selections - many of the fabrics have no descriptors other than "plain" - some have no descriptions.

- Provide additional details (possibly images) about collar choice - specifically point measurement (my collar is substantially larger than I had expected!)

I have ordered several shirts from Modern Tailor and I am very happy. I would not alter your measurements until you have washed the shirt several times. I would allow for a 2-3% shrinkage.

Unfortunately, the measurements came up a little SHORT to begin with and the shirt is borderline tight! (especially the yoke and sleeve) I am going to have to increase my measurements somewhat on future shirts and I'm going to have to "baby" this one because if it still has some shrink to go it's going to end up a touch small!
